VENICE ON VINE

Good Food for a Good Cause!

Our nonprofit, Power Inspires Progress, was founded more than forty years ago by Sister Judy Tensing, SND & Sister Barbara Wheeler, O.P.Our mission is to create economic opportunities for those with chronic barriers to employment through a process of individualized stabilization, structured pre-employment training, and ultimately job placement within the community.

The restaurant, Venice on Vine, and associated commercial catering kitchen serve as non-traditional classrooms which allow individuals to master “the culture of the workplace”. To date, the program has impacted more than 1,000 individuals and their families.
